Arryn Berroya is a junior pursuing a BS in Biological Sciences: Cell Biology & Genetics with minors in Health, Humanities, & Medicine and Asian American Studies. She is passionate about her education and self-enrichment as a research assistant in UMB School of Medicine’s Yu Lab studying brain metastasis regulation and her Filipino American history/psychology research on campus. In the future, she plans to attend medical school. During her free time, she enjoys bullet journaling and spending time with her family.
Humnah Ibrahim is a junior pursuing a Bachelor's in Immersive Media Design with interests in South Asian history/art, immersive technology, creative storytelling, and design. On campus, she is involved with various organizations, including Fresh Pages, the Pakistani Student Association, and WMUC Radio. In her free time, Humnah enjoys photography, playing volleyball, creating digital art/designs, and exploring new places.
Nandika Mahesh is a Senior International Relations major, minoring in Asian American Studies, International Development and Conflict Management, and Women's Studies. She works as a GVPT Peer Advisor and has served on various advisory boards in the ARHU and BSOS colleges, as well as the Provost's office. In her free time, Nandika enjoys watching old and foreign language films, going to local concerts, spending time with her pets, and is slowly building her personal library one book at a time!
Angela Tan is a junior Neurobiology and Physiology major with minors in Computer Science and Asian American Studies. She is passionate about medicine and plans to pursue an MD after graduation. On campus, she is involved with Phi Delta Epsilon, Maryland Science Olympiad, and is an Organic Chemistry Teaching Assistant. In her free time, she enjoys photography, reading classics and other literature, spending time with friends and family, and learning to cook!
Hita Thota is a sophomore pursuing a B.S. in Computer Science and a minor in Neuroscience. On campus, she’s involved in Hack4Impact-UMD as a Tech Lead, where she works with a team of engineers, designers, and PMs on building products for nonprofits. She is also heavily involved in computer vision research and loves teaching students as part of her CS TA positions. Outside of school, she enjoys reading, playing the piano and violin, and listening to music.
Tien Tran is a senior pursuing a degree in Biological Sciences with a minor in Asian American Studies. She is passionate about her research in C.elegans and genetics. Outside of classes, she participates in various tutoring programs such as Lakelands STARs, is active in cultural organizations, such as Vietnamese Student Association, and is involved in volunteer activities at local hospitals.
